This week has been a very busy week. It started with sessions at St Bride’s, Morningside and then on Zoom. Monday evening finished with a meeting with the events team. We have two events planned, the first is an evening with The Forget Me Notes that will feature our Music Facilitators and our Therapists, we will find out about their groups and enjoy an evening sharing music together. We are also hoping to hold a joint Christmas Concert with the Police Choir. We have good reason to say thank you to the Police Choir as they voted that the Forget Me Notes should be their charity of the year, we have already raised nearly £2000 which is amazing. Having the chance to deliver a concert with them will be great and a chance to say thank you.
On Tuesday John and I did a First Aid course that will ensure that we meet the requirements of our groups to have a First Aider. I am happy to tell you that we both passed.
The weather on Thursday wasn’t great so we were in the Glasshouse at Saughton Park on Thursday. We had around forty people singing with us and had a wonderful afternoon amongst the plants.
Our group at Spartans has taken a little bit of a hit in recent weeks, one of our participants had her funeral this week. We are thinking of her family as they will miss their loved one and we will greatly miss this lovely lady too.
Friday afternoon meant Kenny and I sharing in a supervision session and then off to Cramond Residence.
The coming week is no less busy and we have an exciting day on Thursday as we are singing in The Fringe. We will be at the bottom of the Mound at 5pm until 6pm so if you live in Edinburgh and want to come and join us you will be very welcome.
We are getting ever closer to the 13th of September when we will be taking part in the Kiltwalk. There are fourteen of us stepping out to raise money for Forget Me Notes and we could do with your help. If you would like to sponsor us then all you need to do is click on the link and it will take you to the page where you can make your sponsor.
